SEO the Magic Sauce for Online Success

SEO also known as Search Engine Optimization can be challenging. There are many moving parts to the puzzle. But it can bring traffic reliably to your site, day after day after day.

Since a steady stream of traffic to your site is essential you need to start to work on this… Just start and do a little bit every day.  The first thing you must do is create an SEO Plan.

You need both onsite and offsite SEO

Onsite SEO helps your visitors get around your site finding your fabulous content, so you can’t just ignore it.

Off site SEO brings visitors to your site.  Joining a blogging community or two can really help as people will come in and comment and share your content bringing in valuable back links.  Plus it is fun to belong to a community of like minded people otherwise it can be lonely on the internet

Even with paid traffic  still SEO make sense on your site as it is helps visitors move effectively around the site. In addition a little good SEO over time  will bring you steady visitors, adding to your overall marketing efforts.

Here is a cool Infographic that I found, which lays it all out nicely. Plus they have some cool Checklists which I recommend you go to their site and grab.

SEO is not my strong suit so I’ll be mostly curating content and bringing you great content on the subject but most of it won’t be mine, LOL! Can’t say I don’t tell it like it is.

However I do make some efforts on my own site to make it SEO friendly and I will have some tips for you from time to time. I just don’t consider myself an expert.

But for example I do use and recommend you use the YOAST SEO plugin on your blog. It is very helpful and he is an expert!

Now back to that great infographic which I borrowed with full permission

I, too, use the Yoast SEO Plugin. I love it! It makes it so much easier to keep all of the important SEO best-practices front and center when creating content.

I loved the infographic, too. A lot of thought went into that one. It’s very helpful, Mary. Thank you for sharing!
